About me

I’m a bilingual journalist covering climate change, politics, social and women’s issues. My reporting interests are offbeat, underreported and solution-oriented stories. I have reported from Germany, Colombia, Vietnam and South Sudan and have been published by Deutsche Welle, Spiegel Online, ze.tt, Colombia Reports, USA Today, Global Post, and Occupy.com among others. I have been awarded the BIGSAS Journalist Award 2019 for my reporting from South Sudan and have been a fellow with the International Women’s Media Foundation’s Africa Great Lakes reporting initiative.

I hold a Master’s degree in International Media Studies from the University of Bonn and Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international broadcaster, as well as a BA in International Development from the University of East London. I’m currently based in Bern, Switzerland.
